The Kidwelly Community Hub and Kidwelly Creative Hub would like to annouce that for the safety of all our volunteers and service users alike, we have decided to temporarily close the Hub and Creative Hub Craft Shop. All the Hub activities such as the Lunch Club and other groups will also be suspended until further notice . We will periodically review the situation and keep you update. Anyone who needs any help with shopping etc; please contact the Kidwelly and Mynddgarreg Community Support group on needing help with shopping etc., due to self isolation, please contact the Kidwelly & Mynydd Community Support Group on 07552 204424 and they will pair you up with a local volunteer who can help you. In the light of the current Coronavirus that is hitting the UK at the moment, lots of venues across Carmarthenshire have temporialy closed their doors to the public until the end of May.Some have closed until further notice

Below is a list of some of those venues that are temporaily closing;

Kidwelly Castle; shut until further notice

The Ffwrnes theatre, Llanelli. The Lyric theatre. Carmarthen and Ammanford Miners Theare,Ammanford: closed to members of the public until the end of May

Oriel Myrddin Gallery in Carmarthen, Parc Howard, Llanelli,the Gate in St Clears and Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laugharne are also closed until end of May

All leisure centres in Carmarthenshire are closed until end of May


Xcel project (Xcel Bowl,Xcel Community Shop and Xcel furniture) in Johnstown closed from Sunday 22nd March until further notice

As you may have seen or heard on the news recently about the conoravirus covid19 outbreak that is hitting the UK and around the world . There are some simple and easy measures that you can do to protect yourself against Conoroanvirus, and below are some top tips on how to protect yourself


Wash your hands on a regular basis using soap and water or hand sanitizer do this for at least 20 seconds

Always wash your hands when you get home or into work

Cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve or a tissue (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards

Avoid close contact with people who have symptoms of coronavirus

Only travel on public transport if you need to

If possible work from home, if you can

Avoid any social activities such as going to theatres, pubs, cinemas and restaurants

Avoid events with large groups of people avoid events with large groups of people

use phone, online services, or apps to contact your GP surgery or other NHS services,
