Fix and Shift Training

Located in Ferryside is a unique and innovative project aimed at adults with learning disabilities. The project is called Fix and Shift or FAST for short. The Fix and Shift Training project teaches people with learning disabilites esssential DIY skills such as changing a light bulb.

FAST was originally a pilot project , but thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Fund, it has been able to rent and equip a training centre, employ new members of staff and a admin officer.

The scheme last year became the only Welsh lottery funded project to be shortlisted in the voluntary category of the 2017 Big Lottery awards.

The FAST project is a really great project and such a good idea as it gives a person witrh learning disabilites to learn new skills and make friends.

To find out more about the project just go to the Facebook page. Or you can contact them on 01267 469861 or 074949 377266
