Llanelli Carnival

On the Friday November 23rd 2018, the annual carnival and Christmas lights switch on will be held in Llanelli town centre. The annual event is organised by Carmarthenshire County Council in partnership with Llanelli town council, Llanelli Rural Council and Llanelli round table.

For a second year, the event has been sponsored by Dwr Cymru who is responsible for the Rainscape scheme. The main stage this year is in front of the town hall where S4C presenter Mari Grug wil be master of ceremonies for the evening.

On the day itself, there will be a firework display, carnival floats, a fun fair and live music and entertainment. Some of the performers that will be entertaining the crowds include The X Factor’s Jasmine, John Baker, Luke Rees, Cor Lleisiau'r Llan and Grwp Gwerin Mansant. Strolling walkabout street theatre show Winter Sprites will also be joining in the entertainment.

The reindeer parade is held a week later on the 1st December 2018
