Ty Hafan

In Carmarthenshire and Wales there are lots of organisations and charities that offer help, advice and support to sick children and their families.

One of the best known in Wales is Ty Hafan. Ty Hafan is a purpose built Hospice specifically for children who need specialist treatment by specially trained and qualified nurses.

Ty Hafan was originally set up to raise funds to build the Hospice, but it now raises money for its running costs.

Ty Hafan raises funds in lots of ways, one of which is their retail outlets which are located around Wales and all of the profits made from the shops goes straight back to Ty Hafan.

Another way is the Rainbow Run. The Rainbow Run is an annual Fun Run that is organised by to raise both publicity and funds at the same time. In previous years it has been held at Pendine Sands in Carmarthenshire, but this year it is being held at Swansea Bay on the 28th April 2018.

Ty Hafan is a really important children’s charity as it doesn’t get much publicity so it is vital to support a small charity like this.
